What's In A Name?

WellPoint (02.16.05):
"For the second time in two years, David C. Colby, WellPoint, Inc.'s executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), has been named the best chief financial officer in America for the managed care sector by Institutional Investor magazine."

David Colby of WellPoint Named Top CFO in Managed Care for Second Consecutive Year

"'We are very proud that David has once again received this well-deserved recognition," said Larry C. Glasscock, WellPoint's president and chief executive officer."

More recognition for Dave, this time perhaps not as welcome. Busy feller, what? LATimes (06.28.07):

"A former WellPoint Inc. employee sued the company and its former chief financial officer today, accusing him of sexual battery and other transgressions and the company of negligence.

Sarah Waugh, who worked for WellPoint when it was headquartered in Thousand Oaks, says in her lawsuit that while David Colby was the company's high-profile CFO he maintained 'concurrent relationships' with more than 15 women and 'acted with the intent to cause' harm to Waugh."

Wonder what Mr. Glasscock had to say about this?

Har, har.
