All Wound Up

And nowhere to go. AP (08.09.05):
"A conservative group in Virginia said Tuesday it would oppose Supreme Court nominee John Roberts' confirmation because of his work helping overturn a Colorado referendum on gays. 'The move comes as a result of Roberts' support for the radical homosexual lobby in the 1996 Supreme Court case Romer v. Evans, which overturned a pro-family law passed by the citizens of Colorado in an appalling act of judicial activism,' the group said in a news release." Conservative Group to Oppose John Roberts
This isn't the first time Eugene Delgaudio, president of something called Public Advocate of the United States, "has gone up against the Bush administration. He criticized Vice President Dick Cheney last year after the vice president, when asked about gay marriage, said, 'Freedom means freedom for everyone.'" "Delgaudio said then: 'Freedom is not embracing perversion.'" Mr. Delgaudio gets very wound up about gays, which makes us wonder if he knows a bit more about the matter than he's letting on. But that would be sheer speculation on our part. This time around, PAUS is "distressed" about an LATimes article about nominee Robert's role "in providing legal support to the homosexual lobby in a Colorado case that reached the United States Supreme Court in 1996." Anyone want odds that sooner or later, Mr. Delgaudio's gonna get caught in a backseat somewhere?
