Never Ever

Crap on the guy who knows where the bodies are buried. Time (01.08.06), via Steve Gilliard:
"When legal and ethical questions began spinning around House majority leader Tom DeLay last year, President George W. Bush was publicly supportive. Privately, though, he questioned his fellow Texan's mojo. Bush had scored 10 points higher than DeLay in the Representative's district in 2004, and that was only after Bush had recorded a telephone message to help rally local Republicans." Bush and DeLay: Never A Texas Two-Step
"'I can't believe I had to do robocalls for him,' the President said bitingly to an Oval Office visitor." "Of the former exterminator, a Republican close to the President's inner circle says, 'They have always seen him as beneath them, more blue collar. He's seen as a useful servant, not someone you would want to vacation with.'" Huh. The lads in the White House sure come across as being condescending little pricks, eh? Steve hits it:
"Tom DeLay isn't called 'The Hammer' for being a nice guy; he's a leg breaking thug in the worst sense. If the [White House] thinks they can walk away from him and remained unscathed, they're crazy. He wasn't someone you vacation with
The White House "fucked with the less crazy Trent Lott, and he's been seeking revenge ever since." "DeLay? Calling him a servant? Shit, they're nuts." Naw. Just arrogant. And stupid. Bad combination.
