This Should Go Over Well

Two weeks to go, and George reminds everyone of another one of his very unpopular ideas. Bloomberg (10.22.06):
"President George W. Bush said Republicans can hold their congressional majority by focusing on national security and the economy, and that he will return to overhauling Social Security as a top domestic priority for his last two years in office." Bush Plans to Revive Social Security Proposal With New Congress
Jesus. He's nuts. "Bad move", says DemFromCT, citing a "press release from the latest AARP survey, also to be released Wednesday" (10.23.06):
"A new AARP survey finds that boomer+ voters (age 42 and older) are strongly opposed to using Social Security taxes to fund private accounts. More than seven in ten of those polled (72 percent) said they oppose private accounts. Less than one in six (16 percent) of those polled said they support such accounts." Questionable Tactics and Stance On Social Security
Good old George. Step right up and remind everyone of one more reason not to vote Republican.
