Most of these examples are people requesting stimulus funds AFTER the bill was passed. Sure, they voted against it, but if the money was going to be spent anyway, why not secure some funding for your district and constituents? Pork is much more bearable when your district benefits from it. Personally, I think republicans are worse than democrats. Democrats don't hide their socialist agenda, while republicans seem to think they have conservatives locked down no matter how socialist they get. With both parties touting socialist agendas, I'd say it's time for GOOOH. Let's take special interests and lobbyists out of power, and elect people interested in representing their district.
It's one thing to take the money and run.
It's quite another when they take to a podium afterward and take credit for it.
But hey, it's a foolproof scam for them, so why not?
